I -the imperfect Christian- have witnessed a few of those ugly roads myself, therefore Mr. Moore spoke to me in that same kind of different way also.
This book is written and tells a story so moving that its compassion has the power to alter any life for the better! "same kind of different As me." to a reader with enough heart and willingness to listen to and learn from this extraordinary double autobiography will be inspired not only to share this book, but also be willing to share more of their time and love to help others and love others, no matter what ugly road (paved or dirt) that individual walked in from.
Mr. Hall, and Mr. Moore remind us that it's OK to be human, to be real to ourselves, to each other, and especially to God. Because He (God) after all knows us even if we make an attempt to show Him someone that we really aren't. The imperfect Christian will now conclude the "Imperfect Review" with the imperfect details...
A cotton picking share cropper, trying to run from his life's trail of tragedy, while homeless, runs into a, now well to do, couple that had dealt with a few setbacks of their own. Together, an art trader, his faithful wife, and a man without a house, living on the street, all find out that they have more in common than meets the eye, and overcome more obstacles together that eventually will go on to bless many. One woman's faith (Deborah Hall) shows her husband, and their new friend, that not owning a house doesn't necessarily make you homeless, but only without a house. Home is where the heart is! Her love manifest to the reader the dwelling every soul desires to find. I pray that your household/home (heart), like mine was changed due to this story. Bring a box of tissues, because the journey in one instance will make you laugh until you cry, and then tug at your heart strings until you do the same. Brilliant, easy to read, love story that is suitable for the most extreme machismo in your home, to the girlie girl that will only partake in a chick-flick. A great read for the entire family! Being one of my new favorites, I highly recommend "Same Kind Of Different As Me."
